Solo

Group Solo. Just one student, an old friend lost and found again. We were both elated and excited to have all this time together. For ten days we shared much more than just photography. He shot a lot, as it’s necessary for somebody just getting back into it. From the very first roll, I made him become aware of how difficult it’s to come up with a good image. In the end he had some really beautiful photographs of this amazing island. He was even able to get two good ones from shooting recklessly out of the car. The pictures convey his personal journey, his soul searching for a new life. He even managed to collect a good series of Ernesto being pulled over by cops every other minute. We laughed a lot, we shared many meals with my family, and he helped me as much as I helped him with his presence. Another good reason to continue with my teaching.
